This document explains how to set the type of application you are creating - eg web, mobile, or hybrid.
By selecting the type of application you are creating, it will determine what articles, code samples, APIs and SDKs that we recommend.
Type of Application
By what device type will your end uses interact with your software? eg websites or mobile applications.
Select the type of your application:
- Web App - Select this option if your application is purely accessible from the Internet via a browser. This can also include PWAs
- Mobile App (Native) - Select this option if your application is an application that is downloaded from an App Store, typically for iOS or Android.
- If you selected Mobile App (Native), select if you want to create an iOS app or an Android app in the operating system section.
- Hybrid - Select this option if your application is using a cross-platform technology, such as React Native, ionic, Cordova that can build Web technology to iOS and Android
Type of Operating System
An Operating System (OS) is the software that acts as an interface between computer hardware components and the users device. The OS helps you to communicate with the users device without knowing how to speak the computer’s language. It is not possible for the user to use any computer or mobile device without having an operating system.
Select the type of operating system your application uses:
- IOS - Select this option if your application uses an operating system used for mobile devices manufactured by Apple Inc.
- Android - Select this option if your application uses an operating system developed by Android Inc used for mobile devices
- Windows - Select this option if your application uses an operating system developed by Microsoft Windows.
- Once you have updated the type of application settings you have now completed Step 4a.
- Click Next and the system will confirm your Additional Information changes have been made.
