This document explains how to manage the end users of your application and their devices.
This task is typically performed by application support personnel, who are responsible for managing and supporting the end users of your application:
- in response to an end user enquiry to change their email address or mobile number, for example
- to investigate an issue that is preventing a user from logging in to or using the application
- to prevent a user and/or their device from logging in - if they have contacted support to say they have lost their device, for example
From the Application User Management and Application User Details pages you can:
- List your application users
- Search for users
- View and edit user details
- Lock/unlock users
- Delete users
- Generate a One-Time PIN (OTP)
- Manage application user devices
- Disable adding user devices
- List user devices
- Delete user devices
Where do I start?
- In the Haventec Console menu, click Applications.
- From the Application List, click Users for the relevant application.
- The Application User Management page is displayed.
Listing application users
This page lists all the users of your application and shows the following information for each user:
- User Name
- Email Address
- Mobile (number)
- Role: All application users have an "Application User" role
- User Status: ACTIVE (unlocked) or LOCKED
Searching for an application user
The search function helps you locate the user record of the user who requires assistance.
To search for a user enter the details you wish to search for.
- For example, the user's name is "Smith". There may be multiple users with that name. Enter "sm" in the search box
- Click Enter on your keyboard or tab out of the field.
- All application users that contain "sm" in any of the following data items will be listed with the matching results.
Viewing and editing application user details
- To view or edit user details, click the User Name of the relevant application user.
- The Application User Details page is displayed.

Generating a One-Time PIN
- To generate a One-Time PIN (OTP) click the User Name of the relevant application user.
- The Application User Details page is displayed.

Managing application user devices
- To manage devices that have been registered for an application user, click the User Name of the relevant application user.
- The Application User Details page is displayed. On this page you can:
- Disable adding user devices
- List all the devices that have been registered for an application user
- Delete user devices

Locking and unlocking application users
- Click Lock User or Unlock user, as required, for the relevant application user.
- Locked users will no longer have access to your application.
Note: you will probably have your own use-cases when you will want to perform a lock or unlock of a user, for example:
- A user has contacted support to say their account has been compromised (maybe they spotted a transaction they don't recognise)
- Their device is lost or stolen

Deleting application users
To permanently delete an application user:
- click Delete User for the relevant application user.
- This operation is irreversible.
- The system will display a Confirmation message
- Click Confirm to proceed deleting the user. Please note: this step can not be undone, however you can add a new team member to create a new user again.
Note: you will probably have your own use-cases when you will want to perform a delete user, for example:
- User subscription has expired
- User account was created in error
- user account is a junk/test account
